Furniture Explorations

Three pieces of furniture made in fall 2025.

Quilted Entryway Station

Made out of a small cabinet found on the street, a free tote bag, a broomstick, and miscellaneous notions. Hangs on a wall in a small entryway so keys and wallets have a place to land.

Simple Table

A small table made with no metal screws or nails. Intended to explore traditional woodworking joints and to fit into a small corner of this bathroom.

Bow Legged Bench

A bench with a silhouette that winks at textiles. It features a quilted storage compartment and powerful torsion hinges that hold the lid open at any angle. The legs were cut and shaped with jigsaw, bandsaw, and spindle sander; no computer-aided cutting was used in this project. Assembled without glue (besides the lamination!), it can be disassembled to flatpack.
